The Beaufort, synonymous with Barbour jackets and beloved worldwide, is a mid-length jacket that covers the hips, crafted from the traditional 6oz waxed cotton. Following the release of the riding-style "Bedale" and the fly-fishing-style "Spey" in 1980, the Beaufort was created in 1983 as a hunting jacket. Margaret Barbour, who designed this jacket, was awarded the title of "Dame," one of the honors of the Order of the British Empire. As the fourth generation of the Barbour family, Margaret's experience in France, while supporting the family business, was incorporated into the mid-length Beaufort, and its very name is said to contain a continental essence.
I fell in love with it at a recycle shop last year.
I think it's rare to find one in this worn condition.
However, the oil is still well-applied, indicating that it has been handled with care.
